Welcome to Tenzaro. By making a reservation or using our services, you agree to these terms and conditions. We've written them in plain language to make everything clear and straightforward.

1. Reservations

When you make a reservation with Tenzaro, whether online, by phone, or in person, you're agreeing to arrive at the scheduled time and honour your booking. We hold tables for 15 minutes past reservation time. If you're running late, please call us at +1 416-758-1292.

For parties of 7 or more, we may require a credit card to hold the reservation. This card won't be charged unless our cancellation policy applies.

2. Cancellation Policy

We understand plans change. For standard reservations (6 guests or fewer), please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. You can cancel by phone, email, or through the original booking method.

For larger parties or special events, we require 48 hours' notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a charge of $50 per person to the card on file.

For our Private Chef Table Experience and other paid services, please review our Refund Policy for specific cancellation terms.

3. Dietary Requirements & Allergies

We're happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies whenever possible. Please inform us at the time of booking or at least 24 hours before your visit. While we take all reasonable precautions, our kitchen handles common allergens including nuts, shellfish, dairy, gluten, and eggs. We cannot guarantee complete allergen-free environments.

If you have severe allergies, please discuss this with our team when booking so we can determine if we can safely accommodate your needs.

4. Age Policy

Tenzaro welcomes guests of all ages. For evening service (after 6:00 PM Tuesday–Saturday), we recommend our experience for guests aged 12 and up due to the nature of our tasting-menu style service. Parents and guardians are responsible for their children's behaviour and safety at all times.

5. Dress Code

We maintain a smart-casual dress code. We want you to feel comfortable while maintaining the atmosphere for all guests. We ask that guests avoid athletic wear, beach attire, or overly casual clothing during evening service.

6. Service & Gratuities

Gratuities are not included in menu prices and are left to your discretion. Industry standard is 15-20% of the pre-tax total. For large parties (8 or more), an 18% service charge may be automatically applied.

7. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Menu prices and availability are subject to change based on seasonal availability and market conditions.

For special experiences with fixed pricing (such as the Chef Table), the quoted price is final unless modifications are requested and agreed upon in writing.

8. Private Events

Private event bookings are subject to separate agreements. Deposits are typically required and are non-refundable within 14 days of the event date. Specific terms will be outlined in your event agreement.

9. Photography & Media

Personal photography for private use is welcome. However, we ask that you're respectful of other guests' privacy and dining experience. Professional photography or filming requires advance permission from management.

By dining with us, you acknowledge that Tenzaro may occasionally photograph the restaurant for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in any photographs, please inform your server.

10. Conduct & Safety

We reserve the right to refuse service or ask guests to leave if behaviour is deemed disruptive, threatening, or inappropriate. This includes but is not limited to: intoxication, harassment of staff or other guests, or violation of health and safety protocols.

We comply with all applicable health and safety regulations. Guests are expected to follow any posted safety guidelines.

11. Lost or Damaged Property

While we take reasonable care, Tenzaro is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Please keep valuables with you at all times.

12. Gift Cards & Promotional Offers

Gift cards are valid for two years from date of purchase and cannot be redeemed for cash. Promotional offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated and are subject to availability and specific terms at time of offer.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tenzaro's liability for any claims arising from your visit is limited to the amount you paid for services on that occasion. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
